E17 Dapper - Update to a new version 0.41

Enlightenment on Ubuntu Dapper Drake

Enlightenment has been update to a new version, enlightenment 1:0.16.999.041+cvs20071001-1dapper1.

Update
To proceed to this update in command line. This method makes it possible to detect possible errors :
sudo aptitude update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Check Dependencies

sudo apt-get install -f

The update of the E17 core requires a dist-upgrade:

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Check Dependencies

sudo apt-get install -f

You need to restart your system.

Warning: Enlightenment E17 is still in heavy development. You should only install and use it in testing or personal environments. You are very discouraged to use it in production systems!

E17 repository for Ubuntu Dapper Drake

Closed

To use exclusively e17.dunnewind.net repository.
Enlightenment repository is hosted on 2 servers on e17.dunnewind.net dns.
E17 packages : architectures i386 and amd64.


Enlightenment is a fast , eye-candy window manager for the X windows system. As it is always in development, and there is no release, the main dev doesn't want to add it in the Ubuntu repositories.
Anyway, Albin Tonnerre (Lutin) packages himself the Enlightenment DR17 applications / libraries. This repository is hosted by dunnewind.net .

This repository allows you to install :


A windows manager (E17)
A Login Manager (Entrance)
A lot of EFL app's (image viewer, audio player)
Some module as CPU viewer, clock, icon bar ...
